When creating a new road transport service you can set the price as fixed or rate-based. Road more about creating your pricing below:
This is the simplest form of pricing. You input a fixed price for this service and as long as all of the primary conditions are met, then this is the price that will be charged. For example, to collect and deliver an item within London is a fixed price of £250.
With rate-based pricing, you can set a cost per Km/Mile or a cost per hour which will be calculated against the entire journey. Additionally, you can select how times and distances are rounded for the purpose of the calculations:
Pro-rata - e.g. 1km 450 meters will be proportionally priced as (450 meters/1km)*rate/km)
Round up - e.g. 1km 450 meters will be priced as 2km
Round down - e.g. 1km 450 meter will be priced as 1km
You can also set a minimum overall price for the service. This price will be applied to all quotes where the rate-based approach does not exceed the minimum price that you set.
Regardless of which pricing approach you select here, you can still add supplementary pricing to your road service. Read more about supplementary pricing here
